Whether it has been through the loss of income, heightened stress-levels or having to change our behavior, every single one of us has been impacted in some way by COVID-19.

With all the uncertainty and constant (bad!) news regarding COVID-19, as well as the sad reality of increasing cases at home and in many parts of the world, it’s perfectly normal to wonder if we’ll ever get to travel internationally ever again!
It was in 2016 that Seb, Brighde (that’s me) Colleen and David headed to Rwanda for what we thought was a once in a lifetime experience. I have to admit I didn’t know much about the country at all.
HALP!! My brain is getting all confused! Since I (Brighde) started working on World Vegan Travel full time, I am now managing and trying to promote multiple platforms for social media and trying to create fun and engaging content for people who are interested in what we do!
Are you a YouTube addict? I must confess, I am and I definitely consume much more content than I create! Certainly, the platform is fantastic for creators, and technology has made it so that anyone who is prepared to learn and have a couple of thousand dollars of equipment can make really engaging content.
If you don't know Go Vegan Radio and the man behind it; Bob Lindon, he has aired a radio show about veganism (and later a podcast) since 2001!
I rode an elephant while I was vegan. I know… I feel pretty bad about it.
Before I was vegan, I rode elephants on a pretty regular basis. I worked with Intrepid as a tour leader in Thailand between 2001 and 2003. Elephant riding had been an included activity on pretty much all of their tours which meant that I had to accompany my travellers on this activity and we even included visits to elephant shows (which claimed to be mahout training centres).
Finding a good reason to travel isn’t hard. Actually getting out on the open road and committing your time (and hard-earned money to travel) is where it gets a little more difficult. Often travelers come up with hundreds of different questions at the beginning of the trip. For the answers, there are travel podcasts out there to help you plan a trip, large or small.
Hoi An has been well-known for being the best destination for vegan travellers in Vietnam for really quite a long time. It’s not just the incredible vegan food that draws people to the central Vietnam town but also the beautiful architecture, bike riding, the slow relaxed feel of the place and being just a couple of kilometres from the beach is an added bonus restaurant.
