One way to make sure you will always have something to eat is by preparing snacks that you can bring with you on the plane. First of all, make sure that is food the will pass the security checkpoint. Then, prepare snacks that will keep you satisfy for large periods of time. Slow energy release foods are great for that purpose. Quinoa, grains, nuts, nut butter, non-starchy veggies and fruits are perfect.
Superfoods will make great ingredients for your snacks because not only by being nutrient dense you will feel more energized but also some superfoods will help you to keep focused and alert. Examples of superfoods that can be used for savory snacks are: algae, flax seeds, maca and seaweed.
Try to avoid starchy foods as they have a tendency of slowing us down both physically and mentally. Avoid preparing snacks with sauces as they can both get messy on the plane and can get confiscated on the security checkpoint.
Remember that portability is a convenient component if you want to prepare foods to have on-the-go so try to make your snacks as bite size.
